Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you. Use the "Download My Data" feature in Settings to export your data in JSON format.

Account Deletion Details

When you delete your account:

All personal content (chats, personas, scenarios) is permanently deleted
Your personal information is anonymized
Payment transaction records are retained for 7 years as required by tax law (GDPR Article 17(3)(b) legal obligation exception)
An anonymized audit trail is maintained for legal compliance

Active paid subscriptions must be canceled before account deletion.

6. Data Security

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data. However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Data Retention

Active Accounts

Chat History: Retained indefinitely (you can delete individual chats at any time)
Personas and Characters: Retained indefinitely while your account is active
Usage Data and Logs: Retained for up to 12 months

Inactive Accounts

If your account remains inactive (no login) for more than one year, we reserve the right to archive or delete your account and associated data to maintain system performance and security. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email before taking such action.

Deleted Accounts

When you request account deletion, data is processed immediately as follows:

Personal Content (Immediate): All chats, personas, characters, and scenarios are permanently deleted from production databases immediately
Personal Information (Immediate): Your name, email, and other identifying information are anonymized immediately
Authentication Account (Immediate): Your login credentials are deleted from our auth provider immediately
Backup Systems: Anonymized data persists in backups until natural rotation (up to 90 days)
Payment Records (7 Years): Transaction records retained for tax compliance (GDPR Article 17(3)(b) exception)
Audit Trail (7 Years): Anonymized record with email hash retained for legal compliance
Anonymized Data: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR Compliance)

Age Requirements

ChatWorld.AI requires users to be at least 16 years old worldwide. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under this age threshold.

Age Verification

When you create an account, you will be required to provide your date of birth. We use this information solely to verify that you meet the minimum age requirement. Users who do not meet the age requirement will not be able to create an account.

COPPA Compliance

Paid Subscriptions
